See What We Are Making For You!—Matica Iseljenika Hrvatska, Zagreb 2024

“We are addressing you in response to your request to set up an exhibition of posters about the great Croatian writer Amelia Batistić. The Croatian community in New Zealand, although far away, is extremely important, and we agree that it is necessary to bring it closer to our audience.

We accept your proposal and will be happy to organize the installation of the exhibition and a suitable lecture by Ph.D. Nina Nola in September 2024. The Croatian Register of Emigrants has adequate premises for this kind of exhibition and lecture, and for its holding we can, due to other obligations and programs organized by HMI, offer dates in the week of September 16 to 20.

For the exhibition in the work plan and program for 2024…we can certainly ensure media visibility in the entire publishing portfolio of HMI - the magazine Matica, which is distributed in 52 countries, as well as on our websites and social networks.

We are looking forward to cooperation and we warmly welcome you.”

See What We Are Making For You!—Dalmatian Archive and Museum, Auckland 2025

“Dr Nina Nola, academic and author, will talk about the journey of presenting an exhibition of the life and writing of Amelia Batistich, our celebrated writer who influenced the course of New Zealand literature. Together with Amelia’s son Anthony Batistich, Nina spent six intense months of 2024 preparing the exhibition; in September Hrvatksa Matica Iseljenika in Zagreb staged an opening with Nina giving a lecture attended by cultural ministers, university lecturers and the Croatian Writers’ Association, who also hosted Nina at their meeting celebrating 125 years. Nina will present the story in and about the posters and share the Croatian Television news item on the exhibition.”
